Wokół kościoła Santo Domingo w San Cristóbal de las Casas tętni ruch od wczesnego rana. Indianie z okolicznych miejscowości, potomkowie Majów z grup etnicznych Tzotzil i Tzeltal upodobali sobie okolice tego kościoła i przekształcili je w bazar pełen pamiątek z Chiapas. Indian można było zobaczyć nie tylko tłumnie w kościele, ale także wszędzie wokół tej budowli, gdzie mogli na chwilę odpocząć od zgiełku i pracy.
There is full of movement around the church of Santo Domingo in San Cristóbal de las Casas from the early morning. Indians from the surrounding villages, descendants of Mayan from the ethnic groups Tzotzil and Tzeltal fond a place around the church and transformed it into a bazaar full of souvenirs from Chiapas. Indians could be seen not only in the church, but also all around the building, where they could rest for a while from the hustle and work.
