W Sali Herkulesa w Palazzo Vecchio znajduje się tondo przedstawiające Madonnę z Dzieciątkiem i św. Janem Chrzcicielem. Atrybucja tego obrazu pochodzącego z XV wieku nie jest do końca ustalona. Uznaje się za autora tego dzieła tajemniczego malarza, którego nazwano Maestro del Tondo Miller. Inne nazwiska to Sebastiano Mainardi i Jacopo Del Sellaio. Wydawałoby się, że ów obraz jest typowym tondem przedstawiającym Madonnę z Dzieciątkiem. Jednak jest na nim coś co budzi zaciekawienie a nawet lekkie zdumienie. Ale nie tylko u odbiorcy. Pasterz z pieskiem w tle tonda z prawej strony spogląda na niebo zamiast adorować Madonnę. Na niebie zaś znajduje się dziwny szary obiekt o okrągłym kształcie przypominający spodek. Obecny widz obrazu od razu skojarzy go z UFO, stąd wzięła się zatem potoczna nazwa tego tonda.

There is a tondo depicting the Madonna with the Child and St. John the Baptist in the Hall of Hercules in Palazzo Vecchio.The attribution of this painting dating from the 15th century is not entirely established. It is considered the author of this work by a mysterious painter, who was named Maestro del Tondo Miller. Other names are Sebastiano Mainardi and Jacopo Del Sellaio. It would seem that this painting is a typical tondo depicting Madonna and the Child. However, there is something on it that arouses curiosity and even slight amazement. But not only with the viewer. The shepherd with a dog in the background of tondo on the right side looks up at the sky instead of adoring Madonna. In the sky there is a strange gray object with a round shape resembling a saucer. The current viewer of the picture will immediately associate it with a UFO, hence the colloquial name of this tondo.
